InCryptid is what I would consider Brain Candy. It's a lot of fun, and I clearly love the series (or I wouldn't have read 12 novels and over 30 short stories for it), but it's definitely not a series that you should think too hard about.

So I probably shouldn't complain about the fact that, once again, all the narrators have the same voice, and despite the fact that Alice has been hopping dimensions for over 50 years she somehow has a very modern inner voice complete with modern-sounding slang and everything else. It doesn't bother me.  It doesn't. (It sort of does).

Last book I was hoping that this book would contain some more Price-family-togetherness, especially with the events of the last book. Just some family downtime where they can digest things that have happened and when we can see them all react to things.

Unfortunately, I was left wanting once again.

Regardless of all that though, I had a lot of fun with this book, and very much enjoyed myself.  I loved that everything wasn't sunshine and rainbows after the last book and that there wwre issues that needed ironing out between the leads of rhe book. I cannot wait to read Mary's book next!
