Modern Fairies, Dwarves, Goblins, and Other Nasties: A Practical Guide by Miss Edythe McFate by Lesley M.M. Blume

5.0

I read this aloud with my 9 year old son and we both loved it! It is a sort of urban fairy encyclopedia with stories of children who have encountered different types of fairies in and around New York City, and tips for avoiding nasty ones. It was very inventive and captivating. We borrowed it from our local library but loved it so much that I just ordered a copy for our personal library. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to spark the imagination.
