The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, Gérald Parel, Roy Thomas, Roy Thomas

Great classic novel. Honestly im partial to any novel that warns about the dangers of caring too much about the superficial and aesthetic.
The only criticism I have is that lord Henry (and by extension Dorian) is a misogynist and his antiquated takes on women are hard to read. It’s tempered by the fact that I think he’s clearly portrayed as a blowhard asshole that is (at least in part) responsible for a lot of Dorian’s downfall and not a man to be glorified in any way. Doesn’t make reading through his dumbass opinions any easier. Other than that wonderful writing, interesting concept, and well executed novel. Would recommend to anyone.
