WTF NOT ONLY DID FERRICK DIE BUT THEY ALL FORGOT HIM. i’m so upset he deserves so much better. his character development from book one is amazing. i love vatea so much too and hate what amora did to her. speaking of amora OML she got on my nerves. i get that she is grieving but she doesn’t have to mention it every 5 seconds. she was being totally selfish and treated everyone horribly especially bastian. i liked her in book 1 too i’m so mad. i still like bastian but idk he doesn’t feel the same anymore, less witty more soppy lmao. even their relationship wasn’t that great, felt uncomfortable because of how she treated him. also we only got crumbs lmao. i hated how the whole serpent storyline happened. it was so easy tf and unsatisfying. the individual island adventures were fun but overall this book is more boring and slow than the first. i liked the very very ending (besides ferricks death). i was not expecting blarthe to be rogan so that was cool. amora was never queen material so i liked how it concluded. overall this book was okay but too slow and the resolution  was weak.
