The Red Queen by Philippa Gregory
4.0

Margaret Beaufort's story wasn't nearly as romantic as Elizabeth's but I still enjoyed it. She was deeply devoted to her son Henry and survived her loveless marriages. It was nice to see the other side of the War of the Roses and it fully made me understand both sides of the story. If I had to sum up Margaret in one word it would be conniving. She was extremely crafty throughout her life and did what she had to in order to get ahead in life and see her son Henry on the throne. I look forward to reading more in this series and learning more about the War of the Roses.
