People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks

This book was well written and gave a new perspective on anti-Semitism throughout history- one that highlights the human experience through survival, connection, and art. I loved how the author switched back and forth from Hanna’s story to the stories of those who left a piece of themselves with the Haggadah. Each story was different but highlighted similar themes. Both educational and entertaining, this piece of historical fiction is a must read for those who wish to understand the relationship between people of different nationalities and religions over hundreds of years.
