I almost gave up on this after several attempts to read and understand it. However, I thought to seek a review and would recommend Benjamin McEvoy (https://youtu.be/FTU9dinZbv4?si=ubvM74halq6N_23Y) who makes at least 'Sing of Myself' much more accessible and helps to uncover what Whitman was trying to convey. I now feel that it is worth returning to the poem time and again to reveal more of Whitman's experience and philosophy of life - especially as he revised it many times until he died nearly 30 years after he first wrote it.
