Vita Nuova by Dante Alighieri
2.0

Amusing yet incredibly boring and very whiny. It didn't help that each mini "chapter" was essentially repeated three times for the most part--once in prose, once in a poem, and once in a structural breakdown of the poem... it should have just been all poem or all prose.

After reading this though, I'm quite convinced that Beatrice didn't really exist, and Dante was sort of an OG Don Quixote.
