I thought "hey, cool idea." but actually this was underwhelming. I suppose if you were disappointed that Rio was largely absent from book 2 this might appeal more to you. It could have been an opportunity to learn something deeper about Rio but the end result is just a bit superfluous to the series, in this reader's humble opinion.
