i have so many mixed feelings over this book. i want to love it. i want to like it because i LOVE the ending. i think the ending was great, jaw-dropping, twisted, unpredictable, good. but i can't rate a book based on its ending alone and not the journey of it. i think when it comes to writing a romantic thriller, it's best to balance both. this book feels like a journey of a romance (80%) and the thrilling part is only the ending (20%). either way, i dont enjoy the chemistry nor the sex scenes happening. i probably would have like it more if the romance is actually likable, and compelling, and it's surprising to read how mediocre it is coming from a romance author. if they did intend to make romance such a big play, it heavily relies on whether it being good or less, which still impacts deeply on the quality of the story. anyways, not my cup of tea until like THAT twist which i can understand the praise this book is getting.
