The title is truely apt for this book. The sheer amount of detail and extent given to the cruelty endured by his victims was just revolting and deeply unnecessary. The perspective of being inside Bateman’s mind loses its intrigue after you’ve heard him describe the hundredth New Yorker’s outfit. Overall, the progression throughout the book felt very flat and static with no comeuppance or payout in the end.
