Astrid Parker Doesn't Fail by Ashley Herring Blake

2.0

Eh. I didn’t really connect to this one. I think that the premise was confused and I didnt feel like I got to know enough about the characters to feel like the resolution was satisfying. Astrid is hired to help redesign a local inn owned by Jordan Everwood’s grandmother. The inn is being featured on a makeover show, which would mean a big boost for the inn and Astrid’s business. Jordan doesn't want the designs Astrid has drawn out, seeing them as without character. Jordan decides to make her own designs and convince Astrid to pass them off as her own so they are taken seriously. They start having sex (shocker) and it eventually comes out that Astrid’s designs are not her own. I dont remember the third act fall apart (bad sign) but I feel like one of them was much more to blame than the other and yet they both apologize to each other. Not great or memorable, the first book was much better.
