Across the Green Grass Fields by Seanan McGuire
4.75
Not my favourite instalment in the series but one that will no doubt grow on me upon each reread like Beneath The Sugar Sky did before it. It took me a little longer to get into, it kind of had that feeling of a prequel but without the thing it’s a prequel to actually existing yet which was an odd experience, but the final stretch was fantastic and took me right back to what I adore about these books. And I already love Gristle with my entire being.
