Tempted by Love
by Melissa Foster
This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free for a Blog Tour in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Thank you to Mellissa for my copy of this book. I am a huge fan of Melissa’s work and I have been waiting for Daphne to get her happy after for a while. This is the first book in the Steele family series but Daphne has been part of the Bayside gang for quite a while so if you have read that series, you’ll be familiar with her.
Daphne has really been through it. Her ex is quite frankly a pig. He didn’t treat her well. He mentally chipped away at her self-esteem and caused her to doubt how beautiful she is. Not only did he walk away from Daphne he also walked away from darling Hadley. That is something I can’t forgive him for. That little girl deserved so much more.
Ever since we first met Jock I knew there was something special about him. He was so tortured. I wanted so much for him to break through. The car accident left him broken and devastated. He blamed himself and was consumed by so much guilt.
I guessed early on where these two would end up and its just so damn perfect but the journey did throw me for a loop a bit. Melissa you can be a cruel, cruel woman. You damn near broke my heart!
I loved being introduced to the Steele family and their friends on Silver Island. I honestly cannot wait to read their stories. I am especially excited for Archers. I think that boy is going to steal my heart.
