It physically pains me to give a book such a low rating, but this book was HORRIBLE. It hurts even more that it had so much potential! I mean reading the plot I was like "wow this sounds awesome" then while actually reading it I was like "when will this be over." In my opinion, it was all just too much. Too much happening at once. Too many different storylines and background information to follow. I feel as if the author made it wayyyy more detailed than it had to be. I mean why couldn't the original Greek gods be kept the way they are/were?? It's such a relief to finish this and be done. No emotional attachment to any of the characters. No emotional attachment to the plot. It was pretty okay up until about 200 pages in then I started rolling my eyes. Then about 300 pages in I was skimming through ready to be rid of this book!
