250 years ago a colonialist writes about an Abissinian Prince who secretly leaves his golden cage valley to seek enlightenment.  

Just that Siddharta Gautama was significantly more successful. 

Not a must-read. Kinda ironic, since I read it because it is on the "1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die" list.
