Antigone, Oedipus the King, Electra by Sophocles

5.0

Loved all three way more than I expected to. I found it particularly striking that Sophocles chose female protagonists for two out of three of the plays--and they were particularly strong, independent characters as well. Of course, they were not always portrayed in a positive light, Antigone in particular, but I had a lot of sympathy for Electra and "rooted" for her as opposed to Clytemnestra.
