I loved this book! It brings back the epic fantasy feel of the original Mistborn trilogy. As much as I did enjoy the rest of the Wax and Wayne era, there were times when it felt like it was getting bogged down in mundane details and lost sight of the idea that the events of the story influence the fate of cities and nations and millions of people, which is part of what draws me to epic fantasy in the first place. Well, this book definitely made up for all that. I thought it was quite clever how Sanderson incorporated Wax and Wayne and Marasi's adventures into not only the world of the original trilogy - the few characters who still remain from that trilogy play much more prominent roles in this book - but also into the larger cosmere. It has me really excited to start reading The Stormlight Archive.
