I haven't read many books of Stephen King but I've seen movies and series that got me used to crazy nonesense, supernatural happenings and really messed up people. This felt very different to me and I would never guess this was written by him.
We follow a retired investigator who becomes obcessed by a case that was never solved under his watch. The same goes for the bad guy, always looking back to what happened on the day that gave him his nickname "Mr. Mercedes". He was my favorite character (not chocking at all, Ialways like the bad guys) intelligent, so disturbed and with sociopath behaviors. I want to read the other volumes because of him but they're not in my priority list.
I was super hooked by the events of the first chapters, then the passe got slower and slower and I ended up stuggling to finish it. There were really good moments in the story, which helped push my rating to the 4 stars, but it took time to get to those.
