A Game of Hearts and Heists
by Ruby Roe
By the last quarter, I was gripping the book, the dad putting the hit on Malachi!? That was a good twist. It was kind of frustrating that Quinn was still so upset with Scarlett after findings out the truth
I do feel the actual mission went by a bit too fast and maybe too easily. Like they hyped up how scary the woods were gonna be and they killed them all really quickly. I also think the mansion with the clocks was spooky and would've loved a little more spooky description. overall, it was a fun read and makes me wanna read more magic books. Roe is so good at building tension. I did find some of the one liners very cheesy referring to how much they "hated each other" and bit of an over kill and snapped me out of the book. It was a fun book though and I'm really grateful to live in a time with steamy saphic fantasy books
