My favorite thing about Doreen Cronin's series about JJ the Dog and the chickens is how hilariously sarcastic she writes!
This book is no exception. I found myself laughing out loud several times. This is my favorite:
"Lots of things are big and scary, kid. My mom is big and scary. Try again."
I also liked:
"I don't think I like you," said Tail.
"I'm ok with that", said Sugar.
Great early chapter book!
