Brimstone by Douglas Preston

4.0

This novel had a depth to it that the previous books in the series lacked; although, its increased length was also due in part to some gratuitous, long-winded explanation (especially at the end) that I found myself skimming over. It reminded me of the Da Vinci Code in its assumptions and also factual inaccuracies (I'm avoiding spoilers by being vague on specifics). That said, the character development was very intriguing and I enjoyed the powerful immersion and the extremely compelling story. As always, I'm looking forward to continuing the series!
