Dead Girl Walking by Linda Joy Singleton

3.0

This book was okay. I liked the premise and it was a new idea, but a few things rubbed me the wrong way. First of all, there were a few holes, for example, the business dealings between Leah's father and his associate seemed to have come out of nowhere and didn't make sense when Jessica brought it up to Mr. Montgomery. My second peeve with the book was during the time when Leah/Jessica was trying to kill herself in order to see her grandmother. I understand the importance of this in the book, but as a psychologist, it bothered me personally that teen girls would be reading about a teenager so lightly brainstorming ways of how to commit suicide. The book was enjoyable, but I will not be reading the others in the series.
