Slow burn. Enemies to lovers. GOD, it was so good. A one sitting read and an alien that looks like an alien. Want to read it yet?

The FMC (Lana Heart) is a therapist for Aliens but not in a way you’re thinking. She helps introduce new species to Humans, by learning their culture, their way of life, etc and vice versa. She’s asked to go to a high level research facility to help them better understand a dangerous Alien called Asset X.

Asset X aka Xerus, is extremely intelligent, extremely dangerous and he’s been sent a mission to “destroy”. Every therapist before Lana has quit and has never been heard from again. Xerus is very alien in terms of the way he looks, he is red, has horns, has spikes going down his back and his tail. He can mimic voices and say full sentences in that persons voices. Creepy.

Both characters are immediately intrigued by each other, and I’ll leave it at that. Half of the book takes place with a window between them and the tension. THE TENSION. Please read this book, you won’t regret it.
