casperpumpkin 's review for:
Dear Mr. You
by Mary-Louise Parker
Every one of Mary-Louise Parker's performances, from Fried Green Tomatoes to The West Wing to Weeds, has carried with it a raw authenticity that I've totally bought, and this book is no exception. Even when I don't like her, I get her. (Small quibble: I am not a fan of breathy sex talk from my audiobook narrators. Waaay to intimate for my tastes.)
Not a straightforward memoir, and all the better for it. Much more poetic and philosophical than I expected. I'm eagerly awaiting a follow-up: Dear Ms. You.
