Blame It On Bianca Del Rio: The Expert On Nothing With An Opinion On Everything by Bianca Del Rio

Seriously disappointing. I love Bianca Del Rio, but this was a misfire. Most of the edgy comedy is really just entry level XBOX Live lobby bullshit, and doesn’t say anything more shocking than the least nasty of said XBOX Live lobby. It’s a repetitive exercise of “Did the person writing imply their ethnicity? Time to make a racist joke.” or a random Trump joke. I don’t like the guy, but by the third or fourth time it’s like “yeah I get it” and I don’t even want to be reminded of it anymore. And it doesn’t stop at three or four.
Something appreciable, I guess, is that much of the “serious” advice veers into “mind your own damn business!” or “be yourself and fuck whoever says otherwise!”
I just expected something funnier is all. Bianca Del Rio is razor sharp and thinks on the spot, and I bought the audiobook expecting that. But a book is a whole different beast. I still like Bianca in spite of this… and Hurricane Bianca… and what I sat through of Hurricane Bianca 2…

Graphic: Sexual content
Moderate: Ableism, Addiction, Alcoholism, Body shaming, Drug abuse, Drug use, Racism, Xenophobia, Antisemitism, Islamophobia, Deportation
Minor: Biphobia, Cancer, Homophobia, Pedophilia, Slavery
None of the content warnings are presented as sincere, they’re just edgy jokes made on the comedian’s behalf. But some of them might unnerve someone struggling with it.
