Elite

“I would have kissed you harder. I would have fought for you more. I don’t know. I would have stolen you away, taken your virtue, made myself so permanently etched on your person that every time you took a breath it was my scent that was permeating the air.” – Nixon
If you are looking for a quick, easy summer read – this book is for you. The story line was different from any I’ve read so far, which was part of the reason I enjoyed it and is why I’m not going to go into too much description. What I will say is that the book hooked me early and I found myself squeezing in “read time” just to see what was going to happen next – as it seemed there was always something going on. Although there were quite a few situations that were hard to believe or a bit cliché, I found this book very entertaining. The characters were interesting and likeable and it was easy to care about them.
Some of the references the author used target a fairly young audience. However, outside of those few instances, I found the author’s writing style enjoyable to read as it was clear, quick-paced, and interjected humor. In fact, after completing this book, I started on “The Bet”, also written by this author.
I am looking forward to reading Eagle Elite – Book 2!
