The Nest
by Kenneth Oppel
It's almost disturbing how much I loved this when it is such a creepy, weird, horrific book. Everything in this book is creepy and understated, I've never read anything like it. I can't really tell you what the book is about without spoiling it completely, but the main theme is that nobody and nothing is perfect, and that is just fine. I love it, although there was times when I thought the book might collapse into a ableist mess. Fortunately, it did not, and as such, I adore this book.
