This book is perfect if you’re in the mood for something with an autumn vibe and the slightest little bit of a spooky vibe, without it being either a Halloween or horror book at all. Set a reminder in your phone to start this book in October!!
I’m not into books with witchy themes, incantations, spells, etc. The little bit of witchcraft referenced felt sort of like historical fiction more than the main theme, and was just right for the season!
If you loved the books Rebecca and The Nature of Fragile Things, you’ll love this one too. (And if you love this book, then you should read those two!)
