This was really good. I truly loved Maverick's overall growth as a character in this book. There was so many good conversations between characters (Alex and Mav's convo in chapter 38 had me almost in tears). Clover and Maverick's relationship was great also. Loved how Mav always stood up for his and Clover's partnership when anyone brought up their age difference and how there was a double standards when it's an older woman not a man. Also seeing Violet and Alex being parents (even though Vi did have a scene with Clover that had me a little agitated but, it was coming from an overprotective parent place).
The only qualm I did have was the pacing. It really slowed down in the middle where they were just a student and professor and walking on egg shells around each other. Also the chapter before the epilogue was kinda quirky to me and didn't really fit in.
