Washington Black by Esi Edugyan

Fantastic story-telling and a story that's so deserving of the attention this book received. This was a real treat. I read it to honour Black History Month (February). Edugyan is a young though old-school storyteller. She packs a terrific punch in this story, and at the end of the day, it's a redemptive tale -- my favourite.
