Fairy, Texas by Margo Bond Collins

3.0

I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would, honestly the summary sounded like it had a little too much high school drama for my taste.
I ended up really enjoying Laney and her love triangle. She is sassy and had a fighting spirit.

I wanted to (still want to) slap her step-sister.

There were a lot of twists and turns, many of them were very predictable. I liked the characters, the Jock, the mysterious hottie with the glowing eyes, the demonic teachers, the circle of friends and of course the bitchy step sister.

Yes, Laney trips over a dead body on the school track while running laps for P.E. but the mystery really gets interesting when her new friend
Sara has her sneak out of the house to spy on a super secret meeting of the 'demons' or Fairies as she later learns.

I don't want to give too much away but she certainly has he work cut out for her trying to figure out who to trust especially when the hormones are running high. (I personally don't think they needed any glamor. I mean come on.)

For anyone who is looking for a fun YA with some heat this is your book.
