The Stranger House by Reginald Hill

4.0

hmm, trying to figure out if i already read this.... yup, i read this a few years ago but i still really enjoyed it the second time--it was familiar but i didn't remember enough details to give the mystery away. reginald hill is one of my favorite mystery writers. he's a good writer, his plots are interesting, twisty and compelling, characters well-wrought, quirky and likeable, and there's some dark humor throughout done with a light touch. love his dalziel and pascoe series, and this stand alone novel was quite good too.
