I genuinely enjoyed the retelling. It still had some Phantom of the Opera vibes, but had a little twists of its own (with explicit steamy scenes as well!). I really enjoyed the characters that were created as well! Uriah (Phantom) having more character was actually really nice, and Aria being a strong black character added a lot of different nuances to this story that I really enjoyed. My only complaint is that I wish we had more of Uriah's point of view. I loved hearing his voice in the story, so I wish there was more of him! Overall, this book was very good! It was a quick and enjoyable read! Would recommend this to anyone who loves retellings, a little bit of steam and a quick read!
