Sophia Tolstoy: A Biography by Alexandra Popoff

4.0

Okay so I basically knew nothing about Tolstoy to begin with but this book still wasn't hard to read despite that and was really informative on him too. It makes sense since Sophia devoted her life to him and his work. If I had been her though I would have left a long time ago because he was a major ass. I don't care how much of a genius is, if someone treated me like that they'd be put before they even knew. All the same I guess their relationship just attests to just how stupid love can make you be and just what you can forgive in the name of it. She lived a very hard life working beside him.
