Snow Going Back by Emma Tallon

Not what it says on the tin... The premise is an overworked lawyer has a proposal sprung on her, she accidentally says yes, has a panic attack, and obeys her boss's order to go to Boston, after which she must go to Vermont, to a picture-perfect town where an attractive man is already living where she's supposed to stay.
So far so Hallmark right?
But about 30% in, it became unbearable, with caricature characters and italicized words in every paragraph. . . Often two or three per sentence.
Still 2 stars though because maybe people who find it on audiobook will find out it's redeemable. Or others won't be needlessly enraged by italics.
