Another one of those big chunkers down! It was once more a super fun and highly enjoyable experience though reading only this for the last 24 days got a little tiring at points. Maybe I need to change that up in the future and just don't only read TWI when I'm reading TWI, if that makes any sense.

The main thing I loved about this volume is how it slowly all starts connecting. I mean this world is absolutetely gargantuous in scope with so many different plot lines going at the same time but this was the first volume where a lot of it started connecting and intertwining and sometimes the stories/plots even directly interacting with each other over multiple continents. There were multiple chapters were there was one bigger plot thread and we saw how that one unfolded with multiple sets of characters / different plot lines involved. And all of those were excellently spun by the author and just crazy good highlights of this whole volume.

The other thing in this volume that blows you away is the ending. It is basically just a gigantic 500-600 page climax of everything that happened in this volume and even volumes before that. This was just absolute  exciting, edge of the seat stuff and somehow the author manages to make the scope of the bigger even bigger during that one.  (You're crazy Pirateaba! ;) )

I do think that overall it is ranking as my 2nd favorite volume of TWI so far with 6 staying on the top spot. 6 just got to me more on the emotional level and I just loved all the storys that were told here, while 7 had some (although only a few) duds. In 7 the author also tried a different style where we were POV hopping way more for like quick check ins here and there and while I thought this was an exciting choice I think it somehow hindered my emotional investment in certain bigger stories.

But yeah TWI is awesome! I can only say it so many times but: Give it a try (and read to atleast the end of vol 1)! You can read it for free on the website.
