Slade House by David Mitchell

I loved this book. It was just what I was looking for to read for Halloween, but I didn't know that at the time, so it came a bit later. The shift of narrators is brilliantly used to progress the story. The climax of the book allows me to see the build throughout every page of the book (in retrospect). As well as being a psychological thriller, it's just the right level of scary for me. Makes me feel uncomfortable and amazed, but not sleepless or with nightmares.
