Supernatural Academy: Year Two by Jaymin Eve

3.0

I loved it for what it was.. 3.5

I do not know what it is about magic and academies but i cannot get enough. I most likely will be reading more of this genre before the end of the year seeing as how I have so much more free time now. In this book there were definite glaring flaws ( the sometimes cliche and stiff dialogue between characters, the macho territorial guy BS, sentence typos and never ending talk of FAMILY and being HOME when the MC was around her man or the ocean,
Spoiler how seemingly normal it was that ash and Maddison were turned into their true forms which just so happens to be 2/3 god or whole god or god children idk and they looked no different than before accept a little more golden...
)

ramblings to remember the plot for the next book
Spoiler In this installment of supernatural academy there was a whole l0t less school time than the year previous which was kind of a bummer but it was non-stop action and goodness the whole time so i cannot complain too much. Basically what happens is Atlantis starts to rise after Asher is struck by a lightning bolt that supposedly kills him and drains him of his power. Then Mads and her crew along with that guy that kidnapped her in the last book ( i cant remember his name at the moment.. it starts with a c...Cameron or Conner maybe) journey to Atlantis to see whats up. what they learn is that they are whole gods or 2/3 gods or something they do not have a name for and that ash was born of galindra, the daughter of the mother of all gods nbd and that Conner/Cameron and mads were born of two gods (which lol i cant remember right now as well) anyway so they are bother and sister. they're bio mom is a crazy god that wants to kill the mother of all gods and that is why she tried to create them. anyway as the story progresses you find out that asher did not die but was reborn and shed of his human form which is like a death and this also happens to C and M. they are in their full form now but like i said at the beginning in my "glaring flaws" thing nothing really changes about their appearance. apparently they are more golden but that's about it. and nobody treats them any differently like knowing that they are basically gods is not a big deal or anything. i digress but i am bored of explaining so i'm gonna try to give an every briefer synopsis of the end. turns out when Maddie's bio mom and dad but her into the queen of Helena to be born a god named sonaris helped and put his power in with theirs so that he could have a mate. so basically she is in love with Asher and she calls him her mate but sonaris made it so that she is his true mate too. the crew is fed up with being the playthings of gods so they are plotting to kill them. they journey to Atlantis and a war breaks out and somehow they end up in hell and are losing so sonaris makes a deal with mads that he will lock the gods in hell for as long as he can hold them and get her and her friends to safety if she makes a deal with him to grant him a favor when ever he asks for it. she agrees. so they are all transported to the academy and are virtually safe. the end.
