I've gotta say, Agatha Christie is the ~Queen of Mystery~ for a reason. I've only read one other of hers, but even this collection of short stories kicked my ass. I was either completely miffed or only put together part of the picture. She was a highly intelligent and remarkable author. If you're just starting off with her books, try the short stories if you're aiming to solve them. The limited page count means there's less material to work with, which makes them a little easier to solve, maybe. No promises, though. XD
