I didn't expect to like this book as much as I did. It was the bookclub pick for this month and so I left it until the end to try and read it. Luckily once I started I got really into it and, especially the last third, I couldn't put it down. 
I didn't expect the language and situations used in the book to impact me as much as they did while the harrowing scenes are awful they have given me a lot of food for thought.
