I never thought I would have read a 900-page erotica fantasy story. Not only would I have never thought that I would have read it, but I also thought I would say that I enjoyed it. But here we are. It was a good book. Definitely long at times and could have used some pairing down or have been split into two volumes.  The premise was really interesting, and the world was rich and unique. 

Erotica is not for me. The sex scenes were not my jam. That's okay, though, because the rest of the book carried it through.  

All around, I thought this was a firmly solid three-star book that I would be far too embarrassed to ever recommend to anyone.
