Please Look After Mom by Kyung-sook Shin
4.0
i like a book with a challenging structure and interesting story. this book is told from the perspective of several family members, and some chapters are first person, some second and some third. but it's beautifully and sadly written. we all think of our moms as being moms, when in reality they have their own identities which are much more complex. who would have thought a simple Korean peasant woman would have so much depth? the book is a bit hard to start, but stay with it. very beautiful and poignant ending.
