This was so different from Huckleberry Finn, but in the best way. I loved James in Mark Twain’s novel, but Percival Everett took an approach that made me see James as more than one dimensional. I like that the first half of the book followed the Huckleberry Finn story and the second half of the book was a more just, rewarding experience. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It definitely left me feeling some kind of way.
