I loved this book! So this is the first book in the Colin Buxton series by CC Gilmartin which is a pen name for Chris Deans and Colin Thomas Begg. The story revolves around an interesting group of actors, a producer, a director, and a police officer from the Met Police in London. , who just happens to be there with his producer boyfriend. This group are spending two weeks on a remote Scottish island to rehearse for an upcoming play when the island is hit by a terrible storm, stranding everyone. Then a body is found, and with no way on or off the island it is down to Colin to investigate what happened.
I really enjoyed this book, I wasn’t sure what to expect from it being written by two authors but Chris and Colin are seamless, if I hadn’t known before hand I would never have guessed it was written by two authors.
It was a great story with engaging characters and some fab plot twist, I really like the writing style and am looking forward to reading more in this series.
