Desolate Stars by Simon Goodson

5.0

When we left our heroine, Jenna was stranded on a sabotaged spaceship, about ready to self-destruct. She called her IT department and they told her to turn it off and on again. Well, almost. The ship was ready to blow up, and her only option was to wipe, then re-install the operating system, which as only supposed to be done in port on an unoccupied ship.

The mystery of the Tagrales, similar to hyper-portals, continued as she encountered more in her effort to return to the Sironus system. The encounters along the way were each interesting and unique.

The wait for Vol 2 in the series was rather long, I needed to go back and read the last couple chapters to pick up the story line. This book ends nicely, rather than the irritating, abrupt cliff-hanger of the first one.

With any luck, we will have more chapters soon. The imagination boggles where she will turn up next.
