52 Loaves: One Man's Relentless Pursuit of Truth, Meaning, and a Perfect Crust by William Alexander

5.0

So so good! I love Mr. Alexander's writing style - another reviewer mentioned that it was like talking with a friend, which I agree with and which I really enjoyed. So many of his descriptions, such as when he was joking with a monk and went just a hair too far - the shame and anger he felt with himself - was something with which I could relate. I loved all the trials and tribulations with baking bread, but when he got to the part about his stay at the abbey and how it affected him - that really affected me as well. Great for anyone doing some spiritual seeking (without being at all "religious") or anyone who finds themselves occasionally obsessed with a hobby. Very recommended!
