This was a really sweet story; I randomly took a chance reading it as I had never read from this author before, but I absolutely loved it. It was a beautiful way of explaining how mental health can feel for some people, Meddings handled the topic gracefully and respectfully. I would recommend this to anyone feeling 'blue' as it is a perfect combination of sweet realism mixed within the metaphors, whilst dealing with the themes of mental illness and social anxiety. It is written and illustrated to make the work easily accessible to anyone, in particular children and teens, and is a quick read but an impactful one.
