After the ending of Fourth Wing this book did not disappoint.
The cliff hanger Fourth Wing ended on was explored fully and rather than the war collage putting Violet and her squad to the test, it was a real war.
The torture scene was so well written and evoked such a range of emotions. Any scene with Liam in has the power to cause heartbreak.
This book too ends on a cliffhanger, but not one that leads you to the possibility of a happy ending.
