End Scene by A.V. Shener

4.0

This is the first I’ve read by this author and it’s very intriguing. Jonah’s story is told in the past and present. This was a very effective way of mapping out the book and I liked it a lot. In this way you can see the trauma Jonah endured, the decisions he had to make, and how they shaped his future/current life. During all this, we are kept constantly guessing what is going to happen next.

TW: human trafficking, torture (on and off page), self harm, non-con, drug use, murder, graphic violence, kidnapping
